Hi I'm Keeley, you probably know that though. My birthday is April 12th 1997, I share the exact date right down to the year with Daney and I also share the day with Alex but he was born in 1996 . ​My favorite color is purple as you can see because it is the color of royalty and i love it,it is dominant to all other colors!! I have two older brothers; Conor and Brendan. I am going to be getting one of my uncle's persian kittens soon and I'm gonna name her snowball or snowflake, which name do you like better!? I love to play softball and read books from The Clique series!! I am in the tropical rainforest group, which is cool becuase I have been to a rainforest before in Dominica, I saw lots of cool plants like a canonball tree and a gigantic cactus!!!! My bestestest friends are Sumer,Erika,Cora,Brianna,Meghan,Kadie,Kimi and moreeee! Uhmmm I don't know what else to put so I'm going to put an animal picture on here now!! byeee! (: [: ​​​​

This is a Bengal Tiger, I chose it becuase I love cats, and tigers are part of the cat family! Yayyyyyy!

  • Scientists believe that there is such a great diversity of animals because rainforests are the oldest ecosystem on earth
  • It is believed that over 50% of the world's species of plants and
    animals are found in the rainforest.
  • The largest rainforest is this Amazon.
  • Birds in the rainforest like toucans and parrots have big beaks which help them take food from other animals
  • Since the rain forest has many trees, a good adaptation would be the one that allows animals to be able to climb and forage for food in trees Monkeys and sloths are a good example of this.
  • being able to swim and cope with a lot of rainfall, caimans, turtles and snakes such as andacondas are a good examples of this.
  • being nocturnal to avoid the high temperatures of the day and the competition from diurnal animals such as bats.
  • Another way is many of them have developed some sort of camouflaging mechanism Chameleons change colors to help them blend in, a Tigers stripes help it blend into the shadows, Poison Dart Frogs have many flashy greens, blues and yellows to help warn off predators but to also stay hidden amongst the leaves, water, and sun spots. Another example would be looper caterpillars look like part of the green plant that they attach themselves to. this is a great way to hide from predators
